Power steering hoses and cooler

The high-pressure and return lines between pump, rack and reservoir, and the small cooler loop that keeps the fluid temperature down.

How you know it is this

  • Fluid on the subframe or the underside of the engine
  • A hose that is swollen, cracked or weeping at a crimp
  • Fluid darkening quickly, which points at overheating

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The high-pressure hose is a formed pipe and is car-specific; the return line is usually plain hose.
  • The cooler is often a simple loop of pipe in front of the radiator and gets damaged by stones.
  • A weeping hose that is left tends to empty the system at the worst moment — on lock, in traffic.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
