Which hoarding does my permit require?
Height and colour are set by whoever issues the permit, not by preference — and they differ by zone within the same emirate. This is what we have been able to establish, and where we have not, it says so.

Branding is prohibited in DDA zones, not required. Circular 331 specifies white hoarding with no logos or artwork, and Dubai Healthcare City specifies dark green. If somebody has told you a premium developer expects a wrapped marketing banner, check the plot’s authority first — in a DDA zone it will be refused.
What we have not been able to confirm
Published here rather than left out. A supplier who prints a confident figure for every authority has invented some of them.

Chapter 6 of the Code of Construction Safety Practice governs this, and we have not been able to read it at source. The 2.4 m figure quoted across the trade traces only to supplier blogs — most likely the 8 ft sheet length become a habit. Ask us and we will confirm with DM before you order.

Regulation CS-4.0 is published only as a scanned document and no clause could be extracted. Anyone quoting you a Trakhees rule is not citing a document we could find.

Sharjah requires a fence permit; Ras Al Khaimah's building code covers permanent fences only. No temporary hoarding dimension could be established for these emirates.

Panels = perimeter ÷ 2.2 m, rounded up. Our panel is 2.2 m long — a rule that divides by 2.0 over-orders by about a tenth.
Posts = panels + 1 to close the run, + 1 per corner, + 2 per gate opening.
Blocks = one per post, doubled at gate posts. Braces = one per post, + 2 diagonals per corner.
Clamps assume two per brace, one at each end — change it if your detail differs.
An estimate from published part sizes, not a structural design. Wind loading, ground conditions and the authority’s own requirements are confirmed at survey.

Where this is used.
The jobs site hoarding & temporary fencing actually do. If yours is not on the list, it is still worth asking — most of what we supply ends up somewhere nobody wrote down.
Plot enclosure before work starts
The permit condition that comes before everything else — the boundary has to stand, at the height and colour the authority for that plot specifies, before the first delivery arrives.
Road frontage & pedestrian diversion
Where the site meets a footpath or carriageway, and the enclosure is also what keeps the public out of the works.
Phased handover
Hoarding moved inwards as zones complete, so the finished part opens while the rest stays enclosed. Panels come back to us and go out again on the next job.
Events & changing internal layouts
Heras panels in loose feet, moved by two men in minutes, for crowd routing and site areas that change week to week.
Dust, sand & visual screening
HDPE netting over the enclosure where the works have to be kept out of the wind, out of the neighbours' air, or out of sight from the road.
Site entrances
Vehicle and pedestrian gates matched to the run. Abu Dhabi caps a site entrance at under 5 m, which decides the leaf sizing before anything else.

- Which authority governs your plot, and what it specifies for height, material and colour
- How many blocks, posts, clamps and braces a given run length needs
- Stocked RAL colours, and which one the plot's authority will accept
We do not publish downloadable datasheets. Where a standard or a certificate is written into your specification, ask us against the specific unit — we will either produce the supplier documentation or tell you plainly that we cannot, rather than leave you to find out at inspection.

The permit decides your height and your colour. Everything after that is a choice, and the one that costs most to get wrong is ordering panels without the blocks, posts and clamps that make them stand up.
