Plastic or concrete — what the rules say.
The choice is usually not yours to make. These are the triggers that decide it, and each one was read in the authority's own guidance.

A water-filled barrier is a channelizing device, not a crash barrier unless the specific model is MASH or NCHRP-350 tested and anchored as tested. If the job needs a tested restraint system, tell us and we will quote concrete instead of selling you the cheaper thing.

We do not publish downloadable datasheets. Where a standard or a certificate is written into your specification, ask us against the specific unit — we will either produce the supplier documentation or tell you plainly that we cannot, rather than leave you to find out at inspection.
