Power steering fluid reservoir

The tank holding the steering fluid, usually with the system filter inside it.

How you know it is this

  • Weeping around the base or the cap
  • A brittle, discoloured tank
  • Fluid full of debris

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The filter inside is a service item on many models and is skipped more often than not.
  • Debris in the reservoir after a pump or rack failure means the whole system needs flushing.
  • Heat makes these brittle here sooner than the service schedule assumes.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
