One order instead of five

Most suppliers carry one line and leave the rest to you, which means five quotes, five deliveries and five people to chase when a date slips. We carry water storage, bunded diesel, barriers, cabins and building materials, and every price is published so you can build the requisition without waiting on a quote.

Send the whole site requirement in one message and it comes back as one quote with delivery and VAT shown separately. Contractor and bulk rates are better than list.

Sizing the fuel

Fuel is the line that gets under-sized most often, because it is sized against the generator rather than against the refuelling interval.

• A 500 kVA generator burns roughly 100 litres an hour at load, so a 10,000 litre tank is about four days of continuous running before anyone thinks about a delivery.
• Summer consumption runs 10–20% above winter on the same plant. A tank sized in January is tight in July.
• Above roughly 13,000 gallons the tank diameter passes 2.6 m, which puts it outside standard load width and needs a transport permit. That is a lead time, not just a cost.
• Bunded tanks carry their own containment, so there is no concrete bund to design, pour and cure before the tank can be commissioned — and the tank can move to the next site when this one closes.

Diesel and Civil Defence

Civil Defence approval is required to install fuel storage, and in Dubai the documented submission is a trade licence copy, tank drawings, a company application letter, a location map, and a tank inspection certificate from an approved company. Assembling that is usually what delays a tank, not the tank.

Tell us at enquiry stage that the tank is going into a Civil Defence submission and we will tell you exactly what documentation we can provide for the unit you are buying, and what has to come from elsewhere. We would rather say that up front than after the order.

• Enforcement is not theoretical. Sharjah Civil Defence inspected 155 companies in the Al Saja'a industrial area in a single campaign, issuing violations for unauthorised tanks, improper storage practices and missing alarms, with further companies placed on grace periods.
• If a tank is already on site and undocumented, it is on a clock. That is worth resolving before an inspection rather than during one.

At the end of the project

When the site closes, we buy the tanks, containers and cabins back, collect them, and credit them against the next project. That is where the refurbished stock on the price list comes from — and it is why a refurbished unit at the start of a job is a sensible buy rather than a compromise.
