Applications

Where this is used.

The jobs perimeter & security fencing actually do. If yours is not on the list, it is still worth asking — most of what we supply ends up somewhere nobody wrote down.

  • Industrial yards & warehouse compounds

Chain link where the area is large and the budget matters; palisade where the boundary has to resist being cut quietly and be repairable a bay at a time.

  • Substations, ports & depots

358 anti-climb, where the aperture is too small for a finger or a boot toe and too tight for bolt cutters to reach the wire square-on.

  • Desert plots & land boundaries

The cheapest way to enclose a large area and mark it as held, which is why chain link dominates undeveloped plots across the northern emirates.

  • Highway & rail corridors

Strained-wire camel fencing, priced per metre because the runs are measured in kilometres rather than panels.

  • Schools, parks & residential borders

Twin-wire and 3D mesh, rigid and neat enough to sit in a public space, in the RAL 7035 grey seen along Dubai roadsides.

  • Slope, wadi & coastal works

Gabion baskets and Reno mattresses filled with rock on site, for retaining and erosion control — and increasingly as landscape walling on villa and hotel projects.

Technical detail

What we can put in front of your engineer.

Ask for any of it against a specific size and you will get it the same working day.

  • Panel and roll dimensions, mesh aperture and wire diameter for the grade you are specifying
  • The BS and BS EN references each product is made to, so your consultant can check them
  • Post schedule and spacing for a given run, including straining and corner positions
  • Coating options for coastal and humid sites, where standard galvanising is not enough

We do not publish downloadable datasheets. Where a standard or a certificate is written into your specification, ask us against the specific unit — we will either produce the supplier documentation or tell you plainly that we cannot, rather than leave you to find out at inspection.

Send us the specification

The fastest quote comes from the run length, the height you need, whether it is a boundary or a security fence, and how exposed the site is to salt air.

Sat–Thu, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Outside those hours it is answered the next working morning.

Why buy here

What you get with the price.

Stock on the ground

Same-day into Ajman and Sharjah for what is in the yard, one to three working days elsewhere.

New and refurbished

Both grades priced side by side on every line, so the budget decision is yours to make, not ours to steer.

Delivered and offloaded

Our own transport across all 7 Emirates, with crane or forklift offloading arranged and quoted before you commit.

Checked before it leaves

Refurbished units are cleaned, repaired and inspected in our own yard rather than shipped on as found.

Bulk and project supply

Send the full requirement rather than line by line — contractor and bulk rates are better than list.

Straight answers

If we cannot meet a specification or evidence a standard, we say so at enquiry stage rather than after the order.

Buying guide

Choosing perimeter fencing

Six products, one question: what is the fence actually for? A boundary that marks a line, a fence that slows a determined person down, and a barrier a consultant will certify are three different purchases at three different prices.

Match the fence to the job

What you needWhat to specify
Mark and enclose a large area cheaplyChain link, 50 mm mesh, 2.0–3.0 mm wire
A neat boundary in a public space2D twin-wire or 3D mesh, RAL 6005 or 7016
Slow a determined intruder down358 anti-climb, or palisade with a trident head
A boundary across kilometresStrained-wire camel fence, priced per metre
Retain a slope or a wadi bankGabion baskets or Reno mattresses
  • Chain link is the cheapest way to enclose an area and the easiest to cut. That is the trade, and for a desert plot or a warehouse yard it is usually the right one.
  • Palisade is repairable a bay at a time, which matters on a boundary that gets hit by plant.
  • 358 gets specified for substations, ports, depots and data centres, where the value behind the fence justifies the difference.

Reading a mesh specification

Mesh is quoted as aperture by wire diameter, and the naming conventions differ between products, which is where the confusion starts.

  • 358 is named from its imperial mesh — 3 inch by 0.5 inch by 8 gauge, or 76.2 x 12.7 mm with 4.0 mm wire. The aperture is what makes it anti-climb: too small for a finger or a boot toe.
  • 8/6/8 twin-wire means two 8 mm horizontal wires either side of 6 mm verticals. 6/5/6 is the lighter grade of the same panel.
  • 3D panels are stiffened by horizontal V-bends rather than a second wire. The bend count rises with height — two up to 1430 mm, three to 1930 mm, four above that — which is the quickest way to check you have been quoted the right grade.

358 delays entry, it does not prevent it

Attack resistance is a certified rating — LPS 1175 classes A1, B3, C5 and D10 — held against a specific tested product. We do not claim a rating for a panel unless the panel supplied carries one. What 358 reliably does is remove handholds and stop standard bolt cutters reaching the wire square-on, which buys response time.

Coastal and humid sites

Standard hot-dip galvanising is specified against BS EN ISO 1461 and is adequate inland. Within reach of salt air it is not, and a fence that rusts in three years costs more than the specification that would have prevented it.

  • For coastal and humid sites, Galfan wire with a 250 micron organic polymer coating is the Gulf specification on high-security mesh.
  • PVC-coated chain link is the common answer on general boundaries — RAL 6005 dark green is the Middle East default.
  • For gabions in marine work, Galfan or PVC coating to EN 10245; stainless 304 or 316 where the exposure is severe.

Working out a run

ProductPer 100 m of run
Chain link4 rolls at 25 m, 34 line posts at 3.0 m centres, 4 straining posts
2D twin-wire40 panels at 2.51 m, 41 posts
358 anti-climb41 panels at 2.515 m with 75 mm overlap, 41 posts
Palisade37 bays at 2.75 m between post centres

Straining and corner posts go at roughly 30 m centres and at every change of direction. One widely published UAE spec sheet states 69 m — that is a typo, and a fence built to it will pull its own line out.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is 358 anti-climb mesh?

It is welded mesh with a 76.2 x 12.7 mm aperture in 4.0 mm wire, named from its imperial dimensions — 3 inch by 0.5 inch by 8 gauge. The aperture is too small for fingers or a boot toe and too tight for standard bolt cutters to reach the wire square-on, so it delays climbing and cutting rather than preventing entry outright.

Which fence is best for a coastal site in the UAE?

Not standard galvanising on its own. For high-security mesh near the sea, specify Galfan wire with a 250 micron organic polymer coating. For general boundaries, PVC-coated chain link in RAL 6005. For gabions, Galfan or PVC to EN 10245, or stainless 304 or 316 where exposure is severe.

How far apart do chain link posts go?

Line posts at 3.0 m centres, and straining or corner posts at roughly 30 m and at every change of direction. A 100 m straight run takes about 34 line posts and 4 straining posts, plus four 25 m rolls of fabric.

What is camel fencing?

The trade name for sand and animal boundary fencing — strained horizontal wires on posts rather than mesh, which is what makes it economical across the tens of kilometres a highway or rail corridor needs. It is sold per linear metre as a wire-and-post system. We do not publish a height for it because no UAE authority publishes one; we build to the project specification.

Do you supply the posts and fittings as well as the fence?

Yes. Line posts, straining and corner posts, line wire, stretcher bars, clamps and fixings are all listed with their dimensions. Tell us the run length and the height and we will work out the schedule with the fence.
