How you know it is this
- A hard brake pedal that is worse when the engine is cold
- An oil leak from the end of the cylinder head
- A rattle or whine from the pump at idle
Worth knowing before you buy
- Standard on diesels and on most modern turbocharged petrol engines.
- Driven off the camshaft, so a failed one can leak engine oil into the brake vacuum line and ruin the servo too.
- Usually replaced complete rather than repaired.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
