Caliper carriers and guide pin kits

The bracket the caliper slides on, and the pins and rubber boots that let it float as the pads wear.

Also called carrier bracket, slider pins, guide pins.

How you know it is this

  • Inner pad worn right down with the outer pad nearly new, or the reverse
  • A knock from the front over bumps
  • The caliper visibly sitting crooked on the disc

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Seized guide pins are one of the most common causes of uneven pad wear, and they are cheap to replace.
  • The rubber boots matter. Once they split, water gets in and the pin seizes within a season.
  • Usually supplied with the correct grease, which is rubber-safe — ordinary grease swells the boots.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
