Caliper repair and seal kits

The piston seal, dust boot and fittings needed to rebuild a caliper rather than replace it.

Also called overhaul kit, seal kit.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Only worth it if the cylinder bore is smooth. A pitted or corroded bore will tear a new seal quickly.
  • Much cheaper than a caliper, and the sensible first move on an older or rarer car where a replacement caliper is hard to find.
  • The brake fluid must be renewed afterwards — the system has been open.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
