Bleed nipples

The small screw in each caliper that is opened to let air and old fluid out of the system.

Also called bleed screw, bleed valve.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • They shear off. It is the usual reason an otherwise good caliper gets replaced.
  • Sold in small sets and worth having spare whenever brake work is planned.
  • Thread size varies between front and rear on some models.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
