Brake fluid reservoir

The translucent plastic tank on top of the master cylinder that holds the fluid, with the level sensor in its cap.

How you know it is this

  • A brake fluid warning with the level clearly fine — usually the sensor or its plug
  • Weeping around the base where the reservoir seals into the master cylinder
  • A reservoir gone brittle and crazed with age and heat

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The seals between reservoir and master cylinder are a separate small part and are what usually leaks.
  • The cap contains the level sensor and is not always supplied with the reservoir.
  • Heat and UV make these brittle here far sooner than in a cooler climate.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
