Brake pistons

The piston inside the caliper that the fluid pushes against to clamp the pad.

How you know it is this

  • A piston that will not wind or push back
  • Visible rust or pitting on the exposed face

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Steel and phenolic (plastic) pistons both exist and are not interchangeable.
  • Replaced with the seal kit, not on its own — a new piston in an old seal will leak.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
