Sump plug and washer

The drain plug and its sealing washer.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The washer is single-use. Reusing it is the usual reason a car drips after an oil change.
  • Cheap, and worth ordering several.
  • A stripped thread can normally be repaired with an insert rather than replacing the sump.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
