Dipstick and tube

The dipstick and the tube it slides down.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Many later engines were built without one. A workshop dipstick for that engine is a specific tool, not a fitted part.
  • The tube seal at the block can leak oil and is a separate small part.
  • Dipsticks are engine-specific — the marks are calibrated to that sump. A dipstick from a similar engine will read wrongly.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
