Head bolts

The bolts clamping the head to the block.

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Single-use stretch bolts on virtually every modern engine. They are designed to yield as they are tightened and cannot be reused.
  • Cheap relative to the job, and reusing them is the most common reason a head gasket fails a second time.
  • Always ordered with a head gasket.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
