How you know it is this
- One switch dead while the others work
- A switch that needs pressing hard or repeatedly
- Worn lettering and a sticky surface
- Windows operating on their own
Worth knowing before you buy
- The driver's pack carries all the windows and the mirrors, so it is the one that wears out first and it is the dearer one.
- Drink spilled into the armrest is a very common cause and it corrodes the contacts.
- The soft-touch coating goes sticky in this heat, which is a trim complaint rather than a fault — though the two often arrive together.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number and a photograph of the switch pack. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
