Horn

The horn or horn pair behind the front bumper.

How you know it is this

  • No sound
  • A weak or distorted note
  • One of a pair working and the other not

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Mounted low at the front, so corrosion and water are the usual killers here.
  • Frequently a pair with different tones. One failing makes the horn sound thin rather than silent.
  • If the horn is dead but everything else on the wheel works, check the relay and the fuse before the horn. If the wheel buttons are dead too, it is the clock spring.
  • It is a test item, so a dead horn is a registration failure.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
