How you know it is this
- One direction of adjustment not working
- A clicking or grinding under the seat
- Memory positions not being recalled
- A seat that has stopped in an awkward position
Worth knowing before you buy
- There are several motors per seat and usually only one has failed. Identify which movement is dead before ordering.
- The wiring under the seat flexes every time the seat moves and breaks. Check it before buying a motor.
- Memory seats need re-calibrating after a motor change.
- The seat occupancy sensor and the airbag wiring are under there too — disconnect the battery before working on a seat.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, which seat, and which movement has failed. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
