Also called door lock motor, locking actuator.
How you know it is this
- One door not locking or unlocking with the others
- A whirring from a door with nothing happening
- Locking that works intermittently, worse when hot
- The alarm triggering on its own
Worth knowing before you buy
- Usually one door at a time, and the fault follows that door.
- Often part of the complete lock assembly rather than separately available — which changes the price considerably.
- The door wiring loom flexes every time the door opens and breaks inside the rubber boot between door and pillar. Check that before buying an actuator: it is a common cause and it is free to find.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number and which door. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
Rest of the switches, motors and wiring
