How you know it is this
- A cracked lens or an impact-damaged housing
- Condensation inside that does not clear
- A yellowed, hazed lens that no longer throws light properly
- Broken mounting tabs after a minor knock
Worth knowing before you buy
- Cheapest by a wide margin. If your car is halogen, do not let anyone quote you for a MULTIBEAM unit.
- A hazed lens can often be polished back rather than replaced, which costs a fraction.
- The mounting tabs snap in even small impacts, and repair kits exist for exactly that — much cheaper than a headlamp.
- Condensation with an intact lens is usually a perished vent or seal, not a failed unit.
What we need to quote it. A photograph of the existing headlamp, the chassis number, and left or right. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
