Glovebox and lid

The glovebox liner, its lid, the hinge and the catch.

How you know it is this

  • A lid that will not stay shut, or drops open over bumps
  • A broken hinge or damper
  • A lock that will not turn
  • The lid sagging out of line

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The catch and the damper are separate small parts and are almost always what has failed rather than the box.
  • The cabin filter usually lives behind the glovebox, so a broken hinge often follows a filter change done in a hurry.
  • Colour must match the interior.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and a photograph. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
