How you know it is this
- Fabric or leather lifting away from the backing
- A sagging pocket
- Scuffed or worn armrest leather
- A warped panel
Worth knowing before you buy
- Heat lifts the adhesive between the covering and the backing board, and that is the usual failure here rather than wear.
- Retrimming an existing card is usually better value than a replacement and matches the rest of the interior better.
- The armrest insert is often a separate part from the card and is where the wear actually is.
- The clips break on removal. Order spares.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, which door, and photographs. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
