Centre console and lid

The console between the seats, its storage bin and the armrest lid.

How you know it is this

  • A lid hinge that has snapped
  • A sticky, degraded soft-touch surface
  • Scuffed or worn leather on the armrest
  • A lid that will not latch

Worth knowing before you buy

  • SOFT-TOUCH COATING GOES STICKY IN THIS HEAT. It is the single most common interior complaint on a Gulf car and it is not damage — the coating breaks down.
  • A sticky console can often be stripped and refinished for far less than a replacement, and the result lasts better than the original.
  • The lid, the hinge and the latch are usually available separately.
  • Drinks spilled into the console reach the switch packs and the modules below, so a damaged lid is worth fixing before the electronics are.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and a photograph. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
