Fuel rail

The pipe holding fuel at pressure and feeding each injector.

How you know it is this

  • A fuel leak at the rail or an injector union
  • A rail pressure fault after pump failure

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Rarely fails on its own. It is usually replaced because the system has been contaminated by a failed high-pressure pump.
  • It carries the pressure sensor and often the regulator, and those are separately available.
  • Diesel rails run at very high pressure and must not be opened without the correct procedure.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
