Also called pinion seal, driveshaft seal, output seal.
How you know it is this
- Oil weeping where a shaft enters a casing
- A gearbox or differential losing oil with no other visible leak
- Oil thrown around the inside of a wheel or along the underbody
Worth knowing before you buy
- Cheap parts. The cost is access, so do all the seals in one area at once.
- A leaking seal that is ignored empties the unit behind it, and that unit is not cheap.
- A seal that has failed early usually points at a worn bearing behind it letting the shaft move.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, and where the leak is. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
