Differential mounts and bushes

The rubber mounts holding the differential to the subframe or body.

How you know it is this

  • A heavy clunk from the rear on take-up and on lifting off
  • Vibration through the floor under acceleration
  • Visibly collapsed or split rubber at the mount

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Far cheaper than the differential they hold, and they cause a clunk that sounds exactly like one.
  • A collapsed mount lets the differential move, which then loads the driveshafts and the flex discs.
  • Often three per differential — front and two rear — and usually only one has failed.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
