Air reservoir tank

The pressure vessel that stores compressed air so the car can raise itself without waiting for the compressor.

How you know it is this

  • Slow lifting even with a healthy compressor
  • The compressor running every time the car changes height
  • Visible corrosion on the tank, which is usually mounted underneath

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Not every AIRMATIC car has one.
  • They rust from the outside in, being underneath the car.
  • A failed tank does not stop the car working; it just makes the compressor do all the work, which shortens its life.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
