Air filter housing

The box holding the air filter, with its inlet snorkel and the lid.

How you know it is this

  • A housing that will not seal, letting unfiltered air in
  • Broken clips or a cracked lid
  • Induction noise that has got louder

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Unfiltered air is what wears bores and ruins airflow sensors. A cracked box is not cosmetic.
  • The clips and the lid are often available separately from the whole housing.
  • Frequently damaged during servicing and then left.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
