Also called drum shoes, handbrake shoes.
How you know it is this
- The parking brake holding poorly on a slope
- A scraping from the rear that does not change when you brake normally
- The handbrake lever or pedal travelling much further than it used to
Worth knowing before you buy
- Supplied as a set with springs and adjusters. Reusing old springs is how a shoe ends up dragging.
- On a car with an electric parking brake the actuator often has to come off to reach them.
- Worth doing at the same time as rear discs, because the shoes sit inside the disc.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
Rest of the discs, pads and friction
