Glow plug control module

The relay module that powers the glow plugs and reports their condition to the engine ECU.

How you know it is this

  • A glow plug warning with plugs that test good
  • A fault code naming the control module or the glow circuit
  • No pre-heat at all on any cylinder

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Worth testing before condemning the plugs. The module is a single part and the plugs are a set plus labour.
  • It monitors each plug individually, so a module fault can look exactly like several failed plugs.
  • Usually needs coding to the car.

What we need to quote it. The engine code and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
