Turbo oil feed and return lines

The small pipes carrying oil into the turbo bearing and draining it back to the sump.

How you know it is this

  • A turbo that has failed early
  • Oil leaking around the turbo
  • Blue smoke with a turbo that is otherwise sound

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The feed line coke up internally with carbon, and a restricted feed is the single most common cause of turbo failure.
  • Always renewed with a turbo. Fitting a new turbo to an old, restricted feed line is the classic way to destroy it within weeks.
  • A blocked return line is just as damaging — oil backs up and is forced past the seals.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
