Also called BMS.
How you know it is this
- Implausible state-of-charge readings
- A pack that will not charge or discharge fully
- A high-voltage fault with cells that measure fine
- Communication faults with the battery
Worth knowing before you buy
- A BMS FAULT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE A FAILING PACK from the driver's seat, and the difference in cost is enormous. Always established before anything else.
- It is coded and matched to the pack it manages.
- Sometimes serviceable separately, sometimes integral to the pack. Which decides the scale of the job.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
