Battery coolant plates and lines

The cooling plates between the modules and the pipework carrying coolant to them.

How you know it is this

  • A battery temperature warning
  • Charging speed reduced to protect the pack
  • Coolant loss with no leak found in the usual places
  • An isolation fault — coolant inside a pack

Worth knowing before you buy

  • COOLANT INSIDE A PACK IS SERIOUS. It causes isolation faults and can damage modules, so a suspected internal leak means the car should be looked at rather than driven on.
  • THERMAL MANAGEMENT MATTERS MORE HERE THAN ALMOST ANYWHERE. A cooling fault in this climate degrades a pack quickly and cuts charging speed long before it warns.
  • The coolant is a specific low-conductivity type. An ordinary coolant in a battery circuit is a safety problem, not just a specification one.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
