How you know it is this
- A moulding lifting at a corner
- Wind noise from the top of the screen
- A perished, shrunken trim
- Water tracking in at the A-pillar
Worth knowing before you buy
- Sun degrades these before anything else on the car, and a lifted A-pillar moulding at speed is how they get lost.
- Usually replaced with a screen anyway, and cheap enough to renew rather than reuse.
- A lifting moulding lets water into the bonded edge, and that is how a screen starts to leak.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
