How you know it is this
- Shattered glass after a break-in
- A chip or crack
- Glass sitting crooked in the frame
- Scratching from a worn window channel
Worth knowing before you buy
- Tinted, privacy, acoustic and heat-reflective glass are different parts. Match what the car has — privacy glass in the rear is common here.
- Glass that sits crooked is the regulator, not the glass.
- After a break-in, the fragments must be cleared out of the door or they jam the regulator later.
- The window channel rubber is a separate cheap part and is what scratches new glass if it is perished.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, which door, and whether the glass is tinted or privacy. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
