How you know it is this
- A blind that will not open or close
- A rattle or grinding from the roof
- Water dripping from the headlining corners
- Cracked glass
Worth knowing before you buy
- WATER FROM A PANORAMIC ROOF IS ALMOST ALWAYS BLOCKED DRAINS, not the seal. The roof is designed to let some water in and drain it down the pillars — clearing the tubes costs nothing and fixes most leaks.
- The blind fabric and its guide clips break with heat, and the blind is usually available separately from the glass.
- A panoramic roof is heavy and its mechanism is expensive. Do not ignore a grinding noise.
- Needs re-initialising after any work.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, and whether the complaint is water, movement or noise. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
