Radiator grille and slats

The main grille, the star, and the slats or mesh in it.

How you know it is this

  • Stone damage
  • A cracked or broken slat
  • Peeling chrome
  • A grille pushed in after a knock

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Frequently the only damaged part after a minor front impact, and much cheaper than a bumper.
  • Grilles change at facelift and by trim. A diamond grille and a louvre grille are different parts.
  • The bonnet star is a separate item and is one of the most commonly stolen and replaced parts on a Mercedes.
  • On cars with DISTRONIC the radar sits behind the grille badge. A non-original badge or a repair with metallic filler can block it.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and a photograph of the grille. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
