Front bumper and covers

The front bumper cover, and the trims and grilles that clip into it.

How you know it is this

  • Impact damage or a crack
  • Scuffing from a kerb or a car park
  • Faded or peeling paint
  • Broken mounting tabs

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Bumpers change at facelift and between trim levels — AMG Line, standard and Night Package bumpers are different parts and will not line up with each other's lights and wings.
  • Establish what is included: grilles, fog surrounds, parking sensor holders, washer covers and the brackets behind are often separate.
  • It arrives unpainted or in primer. Painting and blending is part of the job.
  • Parking sensors must be painted thinly. Heavy paint deadens them and the system stops working after the repair.
  • Often only a grille or a trim strip is damaged, and those are a fraction of the price. Worth checking before buying the whole cover.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number, the paint code, and a photograph of your existing bumper. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
