Front wings (fenders)

The front wing panels.

How you know it is this

  • Accident or kerb damage
  • Corrosion at the bottom edge or behind the arch liner
  • A dent or crease

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Bolt-on rather than welded on almost every Mercedes, so replacement is far less involved than a quarter panel.
  • Aluminium on many later models. Steel and aluminium wings are different parts and different repair jobs.
  • Establish whether the indicator aperture, the liner clips and any trim are included.
  • Corrosion here usually starts behind the arch liner where dirt packs in. Check the other side while you are there.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number, the paint code, and left or right. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
