Also called blend motor, flap actuator, servo motor.
How you know it is this
- Temperature stuck hot or cold on one side however the controls are set
- A clicking or ticking from behind the dashboard, often repeating
- Air coming from the wrong vents
- Recirculation that will not engage
Worth knowing before you buy
- REPEATED CLICKING FROM THE DASHBOARD IS THE SIGNATURE — a stripped plastic gear inside the actuator hunting for a position it cannot reach.
- There are several in a car with climate control, one per flap and zone. The fault code or a diagnostic actuator test names which, and that matters because access varies from easy to dashboard-out.
- Hot on one side and cold on the other is a blend flap, not a refrigerant problem.
- Usually need calibrating after fitting.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the fault codes, or which zone is affected. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
