Air ducts and vents

The ducting behind the dashboard and the visible vents in it.

How you know it is this

  • A vent louvre that will not stay where it is put
  • A broken vent wheel or a snapped fin
  • A rattle from behind the dashboard
  • Air escaping where it should not, so the vents feel weak

Worth knowing before you buy

  • The Gulf sun makes dashboard plastics brittle, and the vent louvres are among the first things to snap.
  • Vents are usually available as a complete assembly and clip out — a much smaller job than it looks.
  • A disconnected duct behind the dash makes the air conditioning feel weak while the system itself is perfect.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and a photograph of the vent. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
