Worth knowing before you buy
- IN THIS CLIMATE THIS IS THE MOST NEGLECTED SERVICE ITEM ON THE CAR. Dust and fine sand block it far faster than the European interval assumes, and the usual complaint is 'the air conditioning is weak' when the filter is simply full.
- A blocked filter makes the blower work harder and shortens its life.
- Cheap and usually a ten-minute job behind the glovebox or under the scuttle.
- Change it more often than the book says here. It is the cheapest improvement to cabin air there is.
