Clutch slave cylinder

The cylinder at the gearbox end that actually pushes the release bearing.

How you know it is this

  • No clutch at all, suddenly
  • Fluid leaking at the bellhousing
  • A pedal that goes to the floor with a dry carpet

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Many are CONCENTRIC — mounted inside the bellhousing around the input shaft. That means the gearbox has to come out to change one, so it is always done with the clutch.
  • If yours is concentric, replace it with the clutch whatever its condition. Doing it later costs the whole job again.
  • An external slave is a cheap, quick job by comparison. Establish which the car has.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the gearbox. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
