How you know it is this
- A pedal that sinks to the floor and stays there
- A pedal that has to be pumped to get a gear
- Fluid on the carpet under the pedals
- Losing brake fluid with the brakes dry — they usually share a reservoir
Worth knowing before you buy
- Master and slave share a system and the fluid. When one fails the other is usually contaminated — quote both.
- A wet carpet under the pedals is the giveaway and distinguishes it from the slave cylinder.
- The system needs bleeding properly afterwards, and it can be stubborn.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
