Centre silencer and resonator

The middle box, tuning out the drone and part of the noise.

How you know it is this

  • A droning at a particular speed
  • Rattling from a broken internal baffle
  • Visible rust perforation, usually on the underside

Worth knowing before you buy

  • It is a tuned part, not just a muffler. Deleting it makes a drone inside the cabin at cruising speed that most people cannot live with.
  • Rusts from the inside out, so a box that looks sound can still be perforated.
  • Clamps and hangers are cheap and should be renewed with it.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number — exhaust sections vary by body and engine. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
