Heater matrix hoses

The two smaller hoses running from the engine through the bulkhead to the heater matrix.

How you know it is this

  • Coolant in the passenger footwell or a damp carpet
  • A sweet smell inside the car
  • Windows misting up with an oily film

Worth knowing before you buy

  • These run into the cabin, so when they leak the coolant ends up inside the car rather than on the road.
  • They pass close to the exhaust and the bulkhead, and that is where they perish.
  • Doing them usually means working at the bulkhead, which is awkward — so do both while you are there.

What we need to quote it. The engine code. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
