Expansion tank cap and level sensor

The cap itself, and the float sensor in the tank that puts a low-coolant warning on the dash.

How you know it is this

  • A low coolant warning with the tank visibly full
  • No warning at all when the level really is low
  • An intermittent warning over bumps

Worth knowing before you buy

  • A float sensor sticks with scale and age. A warning that comes and goes over bumps is the sensor, not the level.
  • Often supplied with the tank rather than separately — worth checking which before ordering.
  • Never ignore a real low-coolant warning here. Topping up without finding where it went is how an engine is lost.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
