How you know it is this
- A belt that will not retract or will not pull out
- A frayed or cut belt
- A buckle that will not latch or release
- A belt warning that will not clear
Worth knowing before you buy
- A SAFETY ITEM. A belt that has been in an accident must be replaced whether or not it looks damaged — the webbing stretches and the reel locks are single-event on many designs.
- A belt that will not retract is often just dirty webbing, and cleaning it can restore it.
- The buckle contains the switch that tells the car the belt is fastened, which is why a buckle fault shows as a warning chime that will not stop.
- Colour must match the interior.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, which seat, and whether the car has been in an accident. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
