Mercedes-Benz · High-Voltage Battery & Charging

Power distribution unit

The junction box that splits high voltage between the drive inverter, the charger, the heater and the compressor, carrying the fuses and contactors for each.

Also called PDU, HV junction box.

How you know it is this

  • Several high-voltage functions failing at once
  • An isolation fault
  • A car that powers up but will not drive

Worth knowing before you buy

  • Several high-voltage systems failing together points here rather than at any one of them.
  • Contains the individual fuses for each branch, and one of those is frequently the actual fault.
  • Isolation required.

What we need to quote it. The chassis number and the fault codes. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
