How you know it is this
- An isolation fault
- Damaged or chafed orange cable
- A fault after underbody or accident damage
Worth knowing before you buy
- ORANGE MEANS HIGH VOLTAGE. Never handle, cut or probe an orange cable. Isolation and training, always.
- The shielding is part of the safety system, and a damaged screen causes isolation faults even with the conductor intact.
- Connectors have interlocks that isolate the system when opened — that is deliberate and it is why they are not ordinary plugs.
- Damage is almost always physical. After any underbody impact these should be inspected.
What we need to quote it. The chassis number, the fault codes, and photographs. The chassis number settles the generation, the body and usually the engine in seventeen characters — it is on your mulkiya. A photograph of the old part helps where there is more than one version.
